Woman run cafe, homemade breakfast including delicious breads. Quiet corner of the neighborhood, serene atmosphere. Highly recommend it.

My family and I are visiting Istanbul for the summer and have taken residence on the Asian side. We were looking for a traditional Turkish breakfast and Gule Kafe exceeded every experience we had hoped for. This is truly a labor of love for the owner and she has put thought into every aspect caring for her guests. The meal began with a delicious purple basil cold drink. Then arrived the beautiful trays with homemade jams, caramel, honey, seasoned oils and olives. Then, another tray with artistically arranged cucumbers, tomatoes and cheeses arrived. This was served with an array of breads, rolls, and doughnuts. Two perfectly cooked eggs and unlimited tea finished the meal. The ambiance was very nice international music, beautiful tile work and a lush garden. The prices were very reasonable and local friendly. We may have stumbled upon a hidden gem, but everyone should have the opportunity to have the memorable experience of dining at Gule Kafe.

I LOVE IT! My mother came over for the first time to Turkey and I wanted to show her the best Turkish breakfast. I spent hours and day searching through recommendations, finally found this gorgeous place. Firstly, the area is mesmerizing. Secondly, the cafe is cozy, extremely clean and beautiful. The breakfast was the best in my life! Everything was fresh, homemade jams melt in your mouth, pastries were incredible (I took a picture of the 2 left, the others were eaten by us right away), cheese was so good. They also bring you a whole kettle of tea. The service was fantastic and fast! I assume it’s a family owned business and they were sooooo sweet! Thank you so much, I’ll be bringing my friends and family only here <3

Very very good! I booked our turkish breakfast beforehand. Happy i walked from Moda all the way up for an 1,5hours, because otherwise i would have been feeling guilty to have such big breakfast. Every little snack was delicious - homemade jams, olives, cheese, bread, and little cheese and olives cakes.

The most sincere and favorite cafe for me in Istanbul. Everything is perfect in it! Delicious and fresh pastries and excellent coffee, beautiful dishes and serving, the interior fascinates with details and cozy harmony. And most importantly, this is an amazing cafe owner and her family! Warm, sincere, beautiful people with an incredible return!
