Regent is the best Thai food in DC. It’s our neighborhood spot but if it wasn’t we’d travel for it. When friends come from out of town it’s where we take them.

I keep coming back so I’ll keep updating this review but for 2 years it’s been a go to and it’s been absolutely delicious every time. Regent Thai Cuisine, I love!

Got their $22 dollar Kao Pad Crab Meat fried rice. Good taste at first but it was full of crab shells, found over 4 pieces before I stopped eating it, one of them really hurt my teeth. Dissatisfied both for the price and quality of the dish.

This was the absolute worst Thai food I have ever had in my life. Completely disrespectful to serve this so called Thai food. If I could leave negative stars I would. Dont waste your time here. I rarely leave negative comments but this place must be exposed. My step mother is Thai and I grew up eating with the family my entire life. If you truly enjoy Thai food don’t ever come here.

We are a company ourselves and work in the garment industry. So not a competitor of yours at all, just a dissatisfied customers. But I will list my concerns below. If anyone is to google what Pla Lad Prik traditionally looks like, they will see that the photo I attached of yours doesn’t look like it at all. Usually Pla Lad Prik is a whole fish not a filet. You can tell by the amount of sauce to fish ratio. The fish tasted like it came straight from the freezer not fresh at all. The vegetables were tough and not steamed well. And the sauce was nowhere near thai hot. The thai basil rice, was extremely bland and nowhere near Thai hot. The onion was the only hint of original flavor in the rice. And again was a very small portion. Most Thai entrees are for communal eating, not undersized individual plates. I came to DC from the Hampton Roads to visit family/friends and was going to cook the meals myself but I got off late. I figured I’d order what I was going to make so we can still enjoy it. You can only imagine my disappointment when I got to the house and opened this up. Spending $50 bucks on this quality makes no sense.

I appreciate your time to reply.

We loved this place! The servers were very friendly and the food was delicious. I had the panang curry, which was to die for! The portion size on that dish was a bit small. The pineapple fried rice, which was served in a pineapple and was also delicious! Overall, I would recommend it!

I just found this great Asian food place, yeah Thai, food, service and music were great today during my date with my husband, I try an amazing 🍒 Cherry Boom 💥 was amazing, favor was 11/10 one of the best cocktails that I have tried in Dc, also their margarita either frozen or regular was amazing taste wise was so good better than in other places around and the seafood that they offer and the flavors are to die for. You can custom your salad, or your fish, or dish to vegan, vegetarian or any food restriction you have and is a Happy Cow certified.
My husband love the music and we sat outside to talk for ours and the owners were so friendly even with people with pets, there were sit inside without a problem
