100% absolutely stay out of this country. So unfortunate because our entire family had rented a villa for spring 2025, we are now attempting to cancel and get our money back. This place is no better than cuba or Venezuela. While we can understand the governments wish to completely disarm its citezens, detention of an American citezen for what is clearly an accident is unacceptable.

Maybe Trump gets in office and we park an aircraft carrier in front of your beaches until you release the guy? Or maybe we should do you like Israel is doing gaza....

Do not go to Turks and Caicos they are looking for any reason to detain American tourists. Lots of other places with better people and beaches more worthy of your vacation time!
