This was an amazing local free museum! My kids 1 and 6 looved it. They had a scavanger hunt (levels for diffrent ages) and a craft. This was a great place to spend a few hours.
Amazing museum we loved every minuet of our adventure. My kids 1 and 6 loved it too
Great place for families and kids, lots to see and do. There were special surprises in unlikely places and an incredible amount of detail. Buffalo Grove is lucky to have caretakers looking after this special incredible museum!
Fun and informative little historical museum here in Buffalo Grove. Grandkids had fun doing the scavenger hunt and making lanterns.
This is my first time visiting and was pleasantly surprised how nice it was. The staff were very friendly and informative and no admission required. This place is a hidden gem right in a residential neighborhood.
If you are curious to know about the history of Buffalo Grove, this would be a great place to visit! It showcases the social history of Buffalo Grove from 1830s. The nice lady at the front desk was so kind and provided the little one with a scavenger hunt! The sound of telegraph & the steam engine and how a type writer and a rotary phone works were some of the interesting things the kiddo could experience!
Nice little place hidden away in suburban area. Not easy to spot unless one seeks it out or stumbles upon it. Place is small but has good historical artifacts and gives idea on how the area had transformed. They also have some nice vintage collections that may appeal to curious ones.
