It's a very cool tour! A must do! You become blind for an hour and learn how to navigate the world without sight.

Mind blowing! A real eye opener (pun intended)! You come out and all you're thinking is how thankful you are and how grateful you have to be from the fact that you can see. You go in there for about an hour in pitch black rooms which your eyes never adjust to (they only adjust if there's a bit of light coming through). The guide is blind and directs you around his world. You keep one hand on the wall and one hand in front of you as you move along. At the end of the tour you end up in a snack room where you can buy snacks and drinks with only small bills or coins (they can give you change by the front counter before entering the tour). Then you sit down with the guide and he shares his story with you and is open to any questions. Really nice guide! Amazing experience! Wow still can't get over it! You walk out a different person! Should've done it earlier in life. Btw book tickets a few months/weeks before cuz they're always fully booked.

Make sure you book tickets in advance (note that they are non-refundable) and arrive on time for this unique experience.
There are free lockers to store your belongings since it is forbidden to bring them into the exhibit, with the exception of some coins you should bring if you wish to purchase snacks from the cafeteria at the end of the exhibit (the transactions are done in complete darkness).
Also, I recommend wearing sturdy shoes for walking, not sandals and definitely not heels.

It's called the children's museum, but it is for age let's say 10 to seniors. If you think, the eyes would get accustomed to darkness and you could see just a tiny bit- well, you won't. Not for claustrophobic people. It was an experience that made me thank GOD for my eyesight. If you want to know, how it is for a blind person to live in this world, go visit there. You will see your world with other eyes after
Had an amazing time at Dialogue in the Dark at @israelchildrensmuseum . I was nervous at first that I might get claustrophobic, but I pushed through and was pleasantly rewarded with a once in a lifetime experience.
I should stress the minimum age limit of 9 is there for a reason and I can see why it's necessary. You spend 1 hr and 15 minutes in pitch black darkness and that can be unnerving for an adult, even more so for a young child.
Our guide throughout the facility Yoav was really good and really helpful guiding us throughout the exhibit, he also answered our many questions at the end of the exhibit in the cafeteria which is also in pitch black darkness. I definitely recommend this activity.

Wow!!! An absolute amazing experience!
Everyone should go there to experience what it would be like to be blind and not see anything!
