I went to the store, which is located on Ballsford road in Manay,VA. It was a ladies day out. The managers extremely rude, she refused to give her name, she refused, refused to let staff assist us with putting a heavy piece of furniture inside the vehicle. This woman threatened to call the police on me after we spent well over $300.00 in the store. All we asked for was hell. This is Terrible service.

I remember as a child how the Salvation Army helped veterans with job training and helped those with housing insecurities find shelter. As a social worker, I have had great experiences reaching out to the Salvation Army for assistance with my clients. The people that work and volunteer for this organization really care!

National HQ woke up all of their neighbors this morning at 7:40 am with leaf blowers. They’re surrounded by residential buildings.

Your Manassas store location has MULTIPLE complaints about rude management, namely "Gigi" & Andy. Their bold rudeness is astounding. You sit idle while complaints rack up. Is it THAT difficult to hire friendly, competent managers at a Christian organization? Gigi ESPECIALLY is awful. She cuts off customers mid-sentence. She obviously HATES her job. She's a STAIN on your organization. I won't even get started on the price gouging on DONATED items. Goodwill is now the place to be.

Unfortunately, the employee was quite aggressive and insisted we put on a mask. I explained that I was a retired medical professional and that was unnecessary. This woman was rude, exceptionally poor customer service and a little tyrannical attitude. This could very well be a legal issue given the number of people she has insulted and been aggressive towards.

Called about donating a dresser, unfortunately the dresser is very large and heavy and I am unable to remove it from the upstairs by myself. I was told to send pictures of the dresser and stairs and email it for review. I told them I would wait outside and I'm fully vaccinated. They said the turn in the stairs looked tight and they were concerned they couldn't "remove it safely", I told them it was brought in safely. It's not like it was hoisted in through a window on a crane. They still wanted to send someone out to preview it out but this wouldn't be for another week. The policy for entering the home has made the act of donation a bigger time waste and hassle than it's worth. This policy is an excuse to do less work and not have to lift and carry things.

My wife and I scheduled a donation pick up of our entire house, including all furniture and household items. We scheduled this entire home pick up a month ago at the San Antonio, TX Salvation Army. We gave them a detailed long list of all that we are donating for their truck scheduling. We rec'd an email confirming all we were donating, the scheduled pickup day, and a phone number to call the day of pickup.
We confirmed the pickup 2 weeks ago. We confirmed the pickup last week. At 1030 AM today I get a call from the San Antonio Salvation Army that "because of scheduling difficulties we will not be able to pickup your entire home full of stuff tomorrow as planned". LESS THAN 24 HOURS BEFORE SCHEDULED PICKUP.
My wife and I are leaving Texas in two days. We sadly assumed Salvation Army would keep to its commitment of picking up our stuff on schedule. Now we have to figure how to move our household items in two days.
There is no acceptable excuse for this level of incompetence.
