LOVED camp Treeschool! Emily is an incredible teacher and was so well prepared. I never knew how calm 15 preschoolers could be! They always had the option to go play in the trees.
We had such an amazing experience participating in TreeSchool! My son was recently three and had not had any type of school or much socialization experience due to the pandemic. Miss Emily was such a wonderful first teacher for him. She is exceptionally organized and thoughtful with everything she does but also has the sort of kind, patient manner you hope your kids will always be lucky enough to have in their teachers.
The outdoor curriculum was all new to us (my older kids went to more traditional preschools) and was a big hit with my son. The space chosen was well thought out and Emily was able to give the children lots of space to roam, climb trees and explore independently while also allowing her and her co-teachers to keep a careful eye on the kids. Even on the coldest days she kept them moving, made temporary shelters and took plenty of hot cocoa/hot tea breaks and my son never once complained about the conditions (to me anyway!).
That said, you as a parent will need to make some solid plans to have the right gear to keep your child comfortable through the program. They will need all the gear for both rainy and snowy season and some particularly cold/wet snowy days my son wore his rain suit over his snowsuit at Emily's suggestion - which seemed to work really well.

Our three year old loves the outdoors so Treeschool is a great fit for him. He has loved his Treeschool experience with Miss Emily. Emily is a wonderfully skilled, early childhood educator who is great with her students and families. She provides an age-appropriate, nature-filled, learning experience coupled with play which we find perfect for our three year old. I also love that families are always welcome to attend the Treeschool sessions. This openness and flexibility allowed me to ease him into his first drop off experience with no tears! If you are looking for a fun, outdoor learning experience for your child, I highly recommend Treeschool!
