Tons of parking nearby but it’s not clear when this farmers market is open. I went today thinking there would be a market but the parking lot was empty. It’d be good to list what times of the year the market is running!
Dreadful, difficult to listen to, downtrodden, droney, depressing single guitar live folk music cover songs sounding like a dirge neutralized our good moods and drove us away.
Hard to beat the charm and positive vibes at the Linden Hills Farmers' Market. Founded in 2012, the cozy market includes locally-sourced vegetables, fruits, herbs, crafts, flowers, coffee, and food trucks. Located in the parking lot of Settergren's Ace Hardware, the market is in the heart of the Linden Hills neighborhood with fabulous shops and restaurants to also check out while paying a visit. Open Sundays 10am-1pm, rain or shine May thru November. Check it out. You'll be glad you did!
Small farmers market that doesn't have a lot of fresh produce. Only 3 booths had fresh produce, and a very limited selection. It's mostly food booths. You can get breakfast items, coffee, tea, dumplings, empanadas, tamales (they are great btw.) There are booths that sell canned salsas, jams, etc. One flower booth (they had fresh flower headbands which is fun for kids) One meat booth. Live music. Overall, it's good if you want to get breakfast/lunch and walk around for a bit. We spent a max of 30 minutes there, ate tamales and walked around the booths a couple times.
Friendly market with a nice mix of veggies, meat and other locally grown farm products. Also liked their crafts, coffee and prepared food booths. Good music made for fun entertainment too.
Number one reason I love this farmers market is because La Loma tamales comes every sunday! 🤤 Best tamales I've ever had. They also have different food trucks that come as well. It's a small market but the neighborhood is so cute, it's a perfect place to walk around the neighborhood and explore the different shops and stores.
I really enjoyed this market! It's smaller than some others in the Cities, but that made it easier to find what I was looking for. Plenty of fresh produce, along with potted and cut flowers, preserves and pickles, pastries and honey, crafts... Basically all the farmers market staples. The market is close to lots of the Linden Hills businesses and restaurants, so you can easily spend the whole morning in the neighborhood. The market had a few food stands and food trucks, too. Shout out to Solid State Records for providing great tunes from their mobile record store!
