Only a few others present when we were touring it. The historian was knowledgeable and lives locally. We did a scavenger hunt and had fun finding items and learning about them. Building is bigger on the inside. Housing much more than we expected to see. Went around back and saw one of the old trains used here.

Our guide was absolutely wonderful with our grandchildren and took extra time explaining and answering their many questions.

Carol, the curator, was very friendly and knowledgeable. My kids learnt a lot about the history of our town.

I was expecting a tiny museum but DuPont Historical Museum was impressive and intriguing. Carol, the curator, was knowledgeable, friendly, and a pleasure to talk with. And what a rich history of DuPont on display with artifacts, maps, information, and photos. I’ll definitely return.

It was a very nice small-town museum. It was small, it looked like they put a lot of effort and purpose into everything. I only wish they would put much fewer words on their displays because it makes it boring, and it looks like they are trying too hard to be one of the big museums. I love how their gift shop has some native items for sale made by natives and the profits go back to the community.

Didn't even know about this muesum until we happened upon it. Small, but such an amazing place to learn about how Dupont came to be!! I Definitely recommend everyone go there. Amazing muesum!!

Fun place to spend a Wednesday!
It was sunny when we went.
The grounds are beautiful!
The back room was like being in my Grandma's home. They even had the same wood stove she had, including the wall paper! (She loved her chickens 🐔 )
The proprietor was very knowledgeable about the history of the Nisqually Tribe and the surrounding areas as well as
Dupont.(She gave us a guided tour)
Husband was a big kid around the train!
Best thing, IT'S FREE!
Just leave a donation at the door.
Take the Steilacoom DuPont exit off of I-5.
