Oyhut Bay Grill

We didn't stay in a rental but just came to town to check out the area. The food here was great--pretty typical post-pandemic prices--the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was the best. We chose outdoor seating and were not disappointed on this 65° and sunny day. The fire pit tables are wonderful, but there's honestly not a bad seat anywhere. I had the Lobster salad and it was delicious! Hubby had the turkey melt sandwich, also good and very satisfying. I wished he would have tried the gorgonzola truffle fries, but he got plain instead, which he said were alright. I also ordered the coconut curry chowder a d was not disappointed. A must if you like curry! Such a great stop!

Food was delicious, we got the Peanut Butter Bacon Cheeseburger and Blackened Ahi. Drink list looked enticing but I wasn't asked until after my plate was almost gone for another drink beyond my initial beer (which had been empty for a substantial amount of time), bummed because I wanted to try the Peachy Keen. Server was friendly but wound up being stung by a bee and was gone for most of our experience. While we don't blame her, and glad she was ok, it seemed like all the tables in our area were sitting and waiting a long time. This could have been due to other servers not being able to pick us up while our server was out, I thought we heard there was a large party upstairs and the kitchen was backed up. Not sure, seems like a one-off situation but definitely extended our visit and since we didn't receive our orders until after the restaurant was closed, we tried to eat quickly since staff was trying to clean up and close.

Overall, food and friendliness of staff would bring us back to give it another shot. The outdoor patio area looked really nice, inside was also nice and had a trendy vibe.

We had wings well done. They were some of the best wings we have ever had. The flavor, the size way to go!

Pizza I wish the crust was a little crisper but overall delicious!!

Bacon wrapped asparagus were very good. Anything in bacon gets cudos.

A very nice (one might even say "upscale") area of Ocean Shores. More expensive than other places, but better atmosphere. We just ate pizza and it was good. A good selection of wine. They do have live music on weekends but not when we were there.

Had a great dinner here while doing a solo vacation in Oceanshores. I wisely made a reservation and even showed up early. I was seated right away upstairs near the bar area. I reviewed many reviews before I came here, but did not have the negative experience others had with the service. The service I had, was excellent. The servers were very polite and attentive. I ordered the Pork Belly Bites and "The Queen" cocktail. The pork belly had a nice char and despite it being a "small bites" appetizer, there is enough to share with another person for sure. For my main course, I had the filet mignon and added scallops. Everything was cooked perfectly. I know the menu said it would come with asparagus but this time, it did not...they substituted sweet potato fries. It may have been a mistake or they ran out of asparagus but it wasn't enough of a ding for them to lose a star (who actually finishes their greens at dinner anyways???) The waitress also made a lovely cab sav wine suggestion for my steak dinner. At the end, I decided I wanted to take a slice of their chocolate mousse cake to go. Surprisingly, the waitress bought my dessert for me despite there being no major issues with the service or meal! That was a lovely gesture so I made sure to give her a decent tip. Money was not an issue this time around so it didn't matter how much it was. I would say, if you dine here on a weekend...don't show up hungry. They are probably going to be more busy and the wait times will be longer (especially if you have a larger group or it is an event weekend.) Weekdays and non-festival weekends are probably better service for any restaurant. Make a reservation for sure.

My first time eating here and my experience was great! Sat upstairs out on the balcony and the staff was super nice and they started the fire at my table for some heat, it was 71° but windy and the balcony was in full shade. Michaela was our server and she was AWESOME! Sometimes seating outside you tend to get forgotten about and this place doesn't. Great rotation of beers on tap (some local), the food oooooh yeeeah good eats I had the prime rib melt and it was really good! Bread was soft the prime rib was tender and seasoned well (now a staple for me) and my significant other he had the western burger it was packed with protein, he litterally had to cut it with a knife. This place is no disappointment, it's a little ways away from the beach entrances but a northern beach near by to visit is Damon Beac. A must go see!
