Malay Asian Restaurant

Honestly one of the best spots in town, the food was top notch. Every flavour slapped differently. I had the beef rendang dish, the calamari, chicken satay (ufff this was to die for) and 2 iced teh tarik. Each was a hit. The service was amazing, was greeted warmly and given dates and water straight away after they asked if I was fasting (I went for iftaar). It really was not too busy at all but the atmosphere still felt really sweet. It’s in a bit of an odd run down location so this is a spot to hit with the gang or your ride or die girlfriend rather than a megafancy first date. But best believe I’m going to be coming again.

this restaurant needs more customers!! there has been nothing around the area that serves better, authentic malay food than Malay Asian. we have been coming here allt he time and it never disappoints! Ripon and Mary has been nothing short of amazing with their service. kudos to the team for bringing the best food and outstanding service.

Yummy yum yum! I walloped the entire nasi lemak even though I was kinda full! That tells you how great the food was. 🤤

I can still feel the yumminess in my right now. The fried chicken was excellent, and the rice was deliciously good. Well flavoured with great coconut milk and Pandan. Super nice.

This is a underrated Malaysian and Thai Restaurant in Hamdan . Superb food 10/10 , And the customer services of the waiters and waitresses were good special thanks to Tariq by explaining all the delicacies that must try in the next visit.

The place serve mix of signature dishes from Malaysia and Thailand.

I ordered Teh Tarik and Nasi Lemak + Ayam Rendang.

The drink is slightly tone off, which I think because of the milk. To suit the local taste, maybe?

Nasi lemak is good. But, I think can be better. The anchovies is perfectly selected and fried. I like small size anchovies, but unfortunately the portion is small. The chicken rendang, taste good, but I wondered why there is little to none chicken skin. The Sambal is the interesting part. I think the hot level has been toned down a bit to mild, maybe for much wider international audience. But the taste, is so uncannily similar to the sambal served with Nasi Lemak on one of the airlines.

The host said there will be more menu upcoming in futute, and possibly buffet.

Overall, it is a nice place if you miss or want to try Malaysian food.
