The Burger Room

Would highly recommend you visit The Burger room whilst you are in Amsterdam. The Wizard of Oz theme throughout is cute and even extends to showing the film in the loos! The food is excellent, the burgers were very tasty. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was great. The style and decor of the restaurant was fab. Would certainly visit again 😀

Wizard of Oz extravaganza! We loved it here, immaculate burgers, American portions, most delicious Cyclone burger and local IPA for me. Daughter had the huge Scarecrow and wife had If I had the nerve, and cool Smoke and Mirrors cocktail. Delicious!

First off, no prams and children below 5 years old are allowed inside the premises. They have outdoor seating with 2 small tables and 4 chairs which really does not offer much space as it’s situated along the footpath. No worries though as it’s their rules. Just saying the place is not kid-friendly.

Now, their burgers are quite steep for the product you get. If I am to pay 30++ euros for each burger, I would expect it cooked to perfection. All their burgers are served “medium”, unfortunately, it wasn’t the case for us as ours were overcooked and nearly well done.

Truffle mac n cheese were nothing special. Standard comparable to other restaurants that offer the same dish.

Place could do better. Even upscale restaurants allow children inside.

The restaurant is really lovely with delicious burgers and very nice decor. The service was also very good and we went twice during our 3 day stay, this is how much we liked the place.
I give it 4 stars due to the extra 15%charge at the bill for service! This is a new one for me in Europe, we were planning on leaving a tip anyway but we don’t appreciate this tactic. Looks like the business owner expects the customers to pay the staffs’ wages? Hope this is not the case and I hope you reconsider this tactic because your restaurant is great otherwise.

The burgers were delicious and tasty-juicy. The staff was very kind helpful.

One thing which we did not like is the plating. In my opinion on this level where this place is (good enterior, great and deep Alice in Wonderland style, tasty and super food) it would be better to make a nice plating on a stylish plate instead of a normal grey tray.

The interior decoration and location of the place is very nice. The cooking temperature of the burgers is medium. This is a bit sad. My burger was less cooked than this. 😢 For this reason I couldn't eat it, but my friends liked it very much. I can say that the best part was that they gave me jelly beans in the shape of a hamburger as a gift when I paid the bill😇

Really good food. Worth the walk and recommend the onion rings. Yummy. It’s Wizard of Oz themed but only down side is the main seating area not so much could put a few more pictures or nick knacks around the room I think.
