Our visit to Joey's for supper yesterday left much to be desired in terms of service. Despite requesting water, it was not served. Moreover, my friend, who has an onion allergy, was offered only a plain burger without any additional condiments like ketchup, mayo, or mustard. It's worth noting that these sauces typically do not contain onions. We opted for the farmer salad, only to be questioned by the waitress in what seemed like a discriminatory manner about our dietary preferences, despite the salad not containing bacon to begin with. The waitress seems not to know the menu. While the food itself was fresh and flavorful, the overall experience was marred by poor communication, resulting in an unsatisfactory meal and lack of water. Additionally, I refrained from leaving a tip as the waitress asked if there was a problem with the service instead of asking about our experience. In terms of ambiance, while it was understandably crowded during rush hours, the volume of the music could have been raised to provide a more intimate dining experience. My suggestion for improvement would be to prioritize better communication and attentiveness to customer needs.

Bubbly white at the door, nice knowledgeable waitress with manners, and the atmosphere is my vibe! I’m from Montreal and I rarely rave about Ottawa. But this is definitely a place I ABSOLUTELY want to go back to!! And the food was so tasty and fresh! We had a blast and I can’t wait to go back! 10/10 recommend.

Came here for two and got seated pretty quickly on a Thursday night. They offered us a complimentary drink at the front of the reception, which was really nice:)

The sushi & steak is a great combo! I highly recommend this dish and you can choose from either tuna avocado or salmon. We had the tuna one and it was tasty. The steak was cooked just right and not hard to chew. Crab cakes were not bad but could be better with more crab meats inside.

Ambiance overall was a bit noisy but I would say it's a good place to have chats. Would definitely come back.

We’re visiting Ottawa for the weekend and decided on stopping by Joey’s for dinner.

We arrived right on time, just before the rush, and got seated immediately.

Food looked and tasted great and service was very good as well. We were provided with meal recommendations that met our needs and the atmosphere was great. Food also arrived very quickly and served hot.

Highly recommended the pita bread. Try not to eat too many though. Might have to roll you out of the restaurant. Heh.

We had made a reservation and they gave people complimentary bubbly champagne. Service was quick and efficient and friendly.
Unfortunately our food was way over-salted. The cod that we had was so very salty that we couldn't even put any of the delicious curry sauce over it.
The burger I had was delicious but unfortunately the fries were 10x saltier than even MacDonald's. We did inform the server but she asked us if we wanted to do anything. So we said no but in hind sight we should have asked for a replacement. Although it would have been even better service if she had suggested to replace them.

Really good food but the portions can be designed differently. The lettuce wrap for example, needs a lot more lettuce to accompany the savory topping. Tuna poke was quite small, not filling at all.

What a wonderful culinary experience!! You must try this restaurant, the kitchen brigade is so cool!! Like Chef Ramsey would be impressed!! Everything tasted like it was made from scratch, everything was tasty and fresh!! The staff is also amazing, they are welcoming, friendly, attentive, and do such a great job to make sure you have a great time at Joey!! The food is fantastic, we had the Hummus Tzatziki platter as a starter. I’ve visited Beirut and Athena in the past, and let me tell you, they stick to the main original ingredients and add some modern twist to it which made it so delicious. Hummus with tahini, dash of lemon juice, extra virgin olive oil, cumin yuuuuummm was so goood and the tzatziki tasted like I was in Greece, I believe it to have greek yogourt, sour cream, garlic, cucumbers omg was so good!! The pitas slices were so crunchy and seasoned and made the platter taste even better. The mains were butter chicken which tasted heavenly to my palate, it reminded me of this original Indian restaurant I usually go to. The naan was very tasty and was fun to eat legit Indian food there 😆 The salmon platter was enjoyed with her Super Nova Cocktail. Desert was yummy warm puffy dough with a river of mascarpone coulis omg. Wonderful experience!! Ottawa got better thanks to this restaurant 😋
