Greentail Table

this is the perfect shop to get cute things! I am so happy that I discovered this store on one of my walks - it is such good quality items with a good price point as well. this is my new go-to place for seasonal decor to make my home cute. I can’t wait to give all my friends little gifts from here. The owner is so nice and helpful and makes the experience even better than it already is. probably my new favorite place to shop for home items :)

Came to return a gift. They didn't give the person who bought it a receipt, so there was no way for me to know until when I can exchange. When I came it apparently it was too late and they couldn't help. Now I'm stuck with stuff I don't like, and wasted an hour of driving to get here for nothing.

When I walked into Greentail Table in the Nonantum section of Newton over seven years ago I was very happy to see a shop specializing in gifts and home décor. I remember my first impression was that it reminded me of Crate and Barrel on a small scale but when perusing further I realized it offered an even more personal and interesting assortment of things all hand-picked by the owner Linda de Valpine. Linda has a great eye for merchandising and her store offers a terrific selection of things of interest for the home at reasonable price points. Over the years, I have also been impressed with the personnel as they are very courteous and helpful. Marilyn who has been there from the start has helped me on numerous occasions. It is the type of store that one can easily find a gift for even the pickiest of people because Linda has really good taste. I recently bought double-sided placemats that have a different shade of blue on each side and gave them as a birthday gift. My friend wrote me a thank you note and told me not to tell anyone but they were her very favorite present as they were pretty and practical and she said she would use them all the time. So, if you are looking for a gift and not even sure what to get I suggest going to Greentail Table as you will delight in all its offerings and surely be able to find something for whatever the occasion and don’t be surprised if you also find something for yourself.

A Newton gem! The shop has a wonderful selection of housewares that are unique, high-quality and priced fairly. I've purchased many wonderful items as gifts and even some things for myself! Linda, the owner, is friendly, helpful and passionate. I myself strive to shop local whenever I can and Greentail Table makes shopping local easy and enjoyable! Can't recommend this local, small business enough!

Linda has a beautiful collection of home goods and gifts that she has hand-selected for their stunning design. Many, many items are eco-friendly and very affordable. You can literally stay in this boutique for hours enjoying the beautiful displays, and friendly atmosphere. Alternatively, you can run in quickly with a need and the staff is there to help you instantaneously find perfect gift.

What a great store! Linda does a great job assembling an assortment of high quality, interesting, eye-catching, and functional housewares - it's fun just to step in and browse. In an era when shopping online is the usual way of doing things, it's so nice to be in a place that is skillfully curated and pleasant. On top of that, Linda and her staff are friendly, kind, and magnificently helpful. When we found the perfect set of flatware there, the folks at Greentail were professional, quick, and a joy to order with. Thank you!!

This is a wonderful little gift and home goods store in the Nonantum area of Newton, just down the block from Swartz Hardware. I'm not one to go into these kinda of places on a regular basis, so when I need to get a tasteful gift quickly, this is the place I go first. The owner is super-pleasant and helpful, never overbearing. The items they carry are all high quality, artistic, of good taste, but affordable. Great collection of unique gift cards, games, dishes, textiles ... always changing. You should stop by!
