West Side Diner

First of all, had to wait 30 minutes for our meals. Even three groups that came after us got served first. The place is nice and feels like a movie to be there. The servers were ok, I mean they were pretty busy so they try to put a smile throughout the pain. Then I got the French toast which was dry, tasteless, plain cinnamon powder on top and a big chunk of pure butter? It felt like if they did it just to get rid of us. Then “the works” omelette was fine, nothing crazy good everything was just ok. Maybe is just me but I’m a really good cook and I felt like I could’ve done a 100x better meal at home but I wanted to treat myself by visiting this place. Never again.

This place is def. a breath of fresh air. For the longest I was looking for a clean restaurant that has good food where the employees you can trust will greet you w/sincere smiles & are respectful & clean. And I get that w/this place. This is now my favorite breakfast diner in RI. Boi it took way 2 long 2 find you. 🤭 u were worth the wait. Their portions are awesome and the food is delicious 😋 yes it's now mandatory 2 eat breakfast here few times a month. The prices are very affordable especially post covid where it cost 10$ for a gallon of milk. Lol. I wish they served dinner I'd never leave. And that's no lie. luv this place so much. Thanks yall 4 everything 🙏🏾.

It’s a fun old fashioned style diner car. Open really early. I like the way they do their grilled bagels and home fries. Well done style.

I’m a sucker for diners, I love the atmosphere of them. Not only are you able to get the old school diner feel (which is what I desire), but if you travel to the back bar you can experience a more modern approach. The staff is exceptional and realistic; they provide excellent service while being true to how busy they get. I could go and wait at any other restaurant close by and get on their 45min-1hour wait on a Sunday, but consciously choose to wait out for West Side Diner instead. It’s not just about the food, it’s everything that encompasses a diner found in this hidden gem of Providence.

Scrambled eggs were burnt in some areas and wet in others. The home fries tasted like dirty water. The bacon had a weird taste to it like it was cooked right next to something gross. The sausages were dry. Waitress never checked in on us. No eye contact. Nice looking place though

Amazing corn beef hash! Talked with a perfectly cooked poached eggs! A true diner classic and a wonderful breakfast. Peridot with a short stack of blueberry pancakes with a real maple syrup and you got a wonderful breakfast or brunch.

Food and coffee was good. I’ve had better home fries. Plenty of seating. They also have a back room and some outdoor seating. Service was ok, had to ask for more coffee and delay in getting my bill. Price was reasonable compared to other places.
