Nice wide path around the bottom lake and a preserved meadow area. Visitors can extend their walk and go up to the second level leading to another large lake. 🐕🦺🐾This is an ideal place for dogs to have fun retrieving Toys/Sticks from the water. The top lake is about 1/2- 3/4 of a mile in length. It's extremely Rocky around the lake trail and not very enjoyable to hike.✔️ However there is one OK path that climbs upward from where the lake first appears and it's on the Left Side of the lake. ⬅️ It's primarily a dirt path.
🔭🥾⚠️However I recently wanted to climb it and discovered it's been degraded by the worst Rain erosion ever seen in 12 years. I Need to Notify the Park Rangers about this.!! Packed dirt is needed here and at portions of the bottom path Too!

Well maintained and picturesque. Perfect blend of both accessible, yet peaceful. Still sufficiently rural and rugged with some nice routes around water.
I went here for a hike with a friend several weeks ago. Very impressive place. If you live in Bergen county, I highly recommend it.
Great trails! A large portion the trail is on wide gravel paths that are easy to follow. The reservoir adds a great water feature. The little waterfall is a nice detour. Lots of great trails. Many dogs though.

Nice place for a short hike , the scene is pretty and it’s dog friendly . Parking sometimes is hard , depending on the time you get there . Very crowded after 12 noon . It’s pretty .
Lovely reservation with plenty to do, one of my go to places on a nice weekend. Plenty of hiking for all skill levels with some rewarding views at every trail. Lots of water and beautiful photo taking opportunities
