I found this place on google a while ago. The restaurant is on the smaller side, but I preferred it. Very intimate space. Now the food… amazing!!!! We ordered appetizers before our meal and I didn’t want to share. I have no complaints about anything.

This was my first visit and I'm plotting to get back next weekend. I can't say enough. The service is top notch. The food and drink are the best I've had in a while. Looking forward to making Bar Marcel my new favorite spot!

Went during Queens Feast in Charlotte. There were 4 courses that were amazing! The Heirloom Salad was light and so refreshing. A great play on sweet and salty. The Duck Confit pasta and the salmon that followed was everything. For dessert the light and small lemon tart was perfect! Very nice cocktail options were also available.

My wife and I went here for date night. It has a seasonal menu that rotates regularly, so apologies in advance for butchering the names of some of these dishes. We went here for a Friday date night. We came ready to eat. We ordered a salad, wild boar tajarin, and osso buco with a bottle of 2014 Pra Morandina Valpolicella. Everything was fantastic. We loved the savory was of the boar and the osso buco - which made us glad we ordered a salad also! The wine was lighter than expected from the age (9 years) and the server’s description, but that made it great to pair with all of our courses. Overall, we had a fantastic experience. Between food, service, and ambiance, Bar Marcel offers it all!

Went to Bar Marcel for Queen’s Feast and it did not disappoint! Had the octopus appetizer and it was delicious, so rich with flavor and perfectly cooked! The gnocchi bolognese is a must try, so delicious! Both the salmon and red deer ossobuco were fork tender and very flavorful.

Wow! What a great meal we had, and the cocktails were excellent. Service was great and our server was very knowledgeable about everything on the menu. Only thing is, parking is at a premium, but you can park at the Barnes and Noble about a block and half and then just walk over.
