Cool urban park in Old Town. There is a nice trail and the Whatcom Creek empties out into the bay at the park. There is a salmon hatchery also. Great place to hang out in the daytime.

Awesome place to watch the salmon. During the spawn there are LOTS of them. Watching them leap up the beautiful waterfall is a real experience. It is downtown so there are some sketchy people about, but if you're not one of them they leave you alone. No, I do NOT have a cigarette, bro.

Great park in the heart of the city, with an interpretive trail of sorts, sign that’s describe local native plan life and the history of the park. The county is named for the cascading water in this park. Whatcom meaning noisy or noisy water.

It’s September so you don’t have to wait long to see Salmon.
