Well worth the visit. They've done an excellent job with several different sections. Downstairs is the history of an explosion from two ships that collided in 1917 that destroyed Halifax. Upstairs is a maritime museum and a separate section dedicated to the Titanic. Lots of signage where you take a self-guided tour. Also downstairs (before you enter the museum) is a hardware ship chandlery. The curator was very knowledgeable answering our every question. Sorry I only took a few misc pictures.
Amazing experience, was fun to have the opportunity to see it. Not expensive for everyone, free for crew.

So many good things to see, and a nice gift shop. I recommend.

A great place for learning the history of sailing and ships. The most precious exhibits in this museum is the real relic which refloated from Titanic, since Halifax is one of the nearest city to the wreck of Titanic.

I went here for my cadets.
This place was really nice and very informative with the cool models ships and blocks with history.
We were also provided with a scavenger hunt with answers that could be found around the place.
Their was also music and singing upon my visit with small tables with activities.

I appreciate the efforts of so many to provide slices of history and other nautical information to the museum! I rarely get there, but I'm so glad to be greeted by that glowing lighthouse light. I've enjoyed it since I was little. Viewing William Hall's cross; looking at more details about the Halifax Explosion, and even checking out a Sable Island monitoring station scavenger, were unforgettable highlights. Get over when you're able. Museum passes are very good for curiosity-quenching times.
