Applewood Fish and Chips

This place is the best for fish and chips! I've been coming to Applewood Fish and Chips for 30 years with my family! The service is always friendly and with a smile 😃 Halibut and chips is what is pictured! The Haddock is also a hit. The fries are always crispy, and the coleslaw and gravy are also very tasty.

Great food great experience and very friendly management feels like eating at home

Fish are fresh and crispy at a fair price. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Probably the best fish n chips spot in sauga. Highly recommend the slaw if youre a fan of the creamy kind.

Last week my friend took me for lunch at Applewood Fish & Chips. We ordered Wild Alaskan Halibut with Coleslaw. The fish was perfectly made, tender, delicious in a thin & crisp batter. Coleslaw was homemade, fresh & tasty. The service was fast. Highly recommend. The owners are very friendly 🙂

Hands down the best fish and chips place in the area. Located in Mississauga, close to central Etobicoke. Halibut is so fresh. Fries are the best! Gravy too! The portion size is excellent. The owners are very friendly and appreciative of their customers. Trust me. You won’t be disappointed.

So i would like to say the food here was not that bad. Fish was too oily however quantity was good. We ordered fish&chips,shrimps these had good taste BUT Mashroom tops that we ordered were stale, and upon asking TWICE the asian waiter said these are freezer stored.. what? FREEZER stored, MASHROOMS stored in freezers loose their freshness and taste like water means tasteless, anyways NO apologies were made even once, NO replacements upon saying TWICE that Mashrooms taste awful. BUT Here comes the worst part, other customers other than us were given cutlery, extra bowls to eat in, lemons or extra lemons BUT we were looked down for some reason by them... however we PAID BLOODY $47 (in CASH) cause they said cash ONLY more than anyone in the restaurant that day. So long story short PHETHETIC service and waiters, i do not suggest ppl to go here to ruin your day if your expecting a good service at this place!

This place has been on my to go list for quite awhile. The other day it was actually on the way, and we were like this has to be the time we are giving it a try.

Since it was like between lunch and dinner so we ordered only a Premium Mild Halibut with fries and a large coleslaw to go.

The fish is amazing! So so so good! But the fries were a little underwhelming probably because it’s takeout. Even a neighbour said it smells great when we were in an elevator.

The only thing though is that the price is on the higher side, but I can understand you pay for what you get. The fish is really good! Coleslaw was great too.

Also love the art pieces in the store. So beautiful.
