Marco Ballestri curated an amazing Guitars show, which features an outstanding Italian inventor, innovator, and character: Wandré!
Don't miss this show and the included short documentary at the entrance. Every Italian or guitars lover should know about him.
Bonus: it's free!

This is a very lovely museum with lots of great antique instruments, books and lyrical scripts. It’s very well presented and kept, I really enjoyed the time I spent here looking at the various pieces in this wonderful collection. If you’re into music and you enjoy musical instruments I would definitely recommend visiting this lovely museum.

Their collection is amazing, so many books and instruments. The rooms themselves were stunning, and the staff were so nice and receptive. We enjoyed our visit a lot! The entrance is 5 euros with a lot of discount options for locals, students, etc.

I recently visited the International Museum of Music in Bologna to see the Mark Allan exhibition showcasing photographs of rockstars. The collection was captivating, offering a unique glimpse into the lives of these iconic musicians. Moreover, the museum's rich history intrigued me, particularly the revelation that Father Giambattista Martini once taught both Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Sebastian Bach's son. The museum also houses remarkable artifacts like the rare trumpet marine, the first music book printed in Venice in 1501, and a dedicated section honoring the great Gioachino Rossini. A must-visit for music and history enthusiasts.

Well, there's clearly a story to be told, but the guided audio tour was not available. We expected more information in English - else it becomes a bit of a "old books in a Museum"-place, which are clearly not the only thing. Maybe we're just used to get more information by reading signs, information posters and more, but here we didn't really get the information we expected. With that said, there was quite a few beautiful instruments.

What a beautiful building! Enjoy a hot summer day in that cozy museum. If you are lucky you might be part of a rehearsal of an actual opera singer.
A nice suprice - very interesting musical instruments, you can see the written mysic by Mozart and Rossini by their hands. The building itself awasome decoration to everything inside.
You need about one hour, but it is really worth your time.
