A bit small but extremely well done. If you can, wait for the staff guide. They are very knowledgeable and make it interesting.
One of my favorite parts of Brookgreen Gardens! A nice walk, with knowledgeable staff and volunteers and a nice variety of animals, in their natural habitat.
Great place to see some rare and not so rare animals and birds of prey including a newly born (1 day young) goat.
A beautiful place to visit! The aviary is something out of this world! This is a must see! Some of the trails in the zoo are paved, while others are dirt, so be aware when bringing people with mobility issues. There a tram that can bring you back to the parking lots as well.
Lowcountry Zoo is great to visit while at Brookgreen Gardens. It's not too big and perfect in size if you have younger children. The children will enjoy it without getting bored or tired.

A great little zoo with lots of information about the animals and their habitats. There are usually people out and about who have bones, teeth, and small exhibits that kids can touch. We loved Red Wolf Ridge and the grey foxes.
