Oh boy, let me taco 'bout Taco Boy in Charleston, SC! First off, let me shell out the basics: this place is nacho average taco joint. It's a fiesta of flavors that'll make you wanna salsa dance right there on the beach!

Now, I'm a simple man. I like my lawn mowed, my jokes dad-level, and my tacos packed with flavor. And let me tell you, Taco Boy doesn't disappoint. Their tacos are like a treasure chest of taste, and I'm not just spicing things up here. The **Carnitas Taco**? More like Car-NEAT-as, because it's the neatest little package of pork you'll ever eat. And the **Fish Taco**? It's off the hook! Literally, it must've been swimming yesterday because it's that fresh.

The atmosphere? It's like if a beach party and a family BBQ had a baby. It's casual, it's fun, and there's enough sun to go around. The decor is as colorful as the language I use when I stub my toe on the beach chair—vibrant and full of life!

Now, let's taco 'bout the service. The staff at Taco Boy are the real MVPs. They're quicker than me running to the thermostat when someone touches it. And they're friendlier than me when I see the neighbor's dog—always happy to see ya!

But wait, there's more! The **margaritas** are so good, they'll make you forget about your long "to-dew" list. And the **chips and guac**? Holy guacamole, it's like dipping into heaven.

So, if you're in Charleston and looking for a place that's got more charm than a dad's puns at a family gathering, head on over to Taco Boy. It's a place where every day is Taco Tuesday, and the only thing better than the food is the company.

Taco Boy is the place to be if you're looking to spice up your life with some good eats and great beats. And remember, if you don't like tacos, I'm nacho type of guy! Keep it cheesy, Charleston!

TacoBoy is incredible. The welcoming staff, the incredible tacos and the massive backyard make for a perfect brunch, lunch, dinner, late evening spot.

The food is awesome - I recommend the Birria Taco. As a rice lover I was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful and well cooked the rice/beans plate was that came with the tacos. Have a margarita or try their new SUNBOY Spiked Coconut Water.

If you like this one downtown, you should absolutely check out the one on Folly Beach. It’s insanely pretty and just a block off the sand 😍

A great place to get a variety of tacos and other Mexican dishes. The place is usually chill during the afternoon and becomes more exciting as the night rolls in. They have a great bar that makes good margaritas, and they do not skimp on the alcohol. The tacos themselves are pretty sizeable and delicious. There are plenty of side dishes that you can get as well, and they are equally appealing. The dining area is clean and the staff are friendly. Overall a good place to go to if you want lunch or dinner to start the night off.

Sigh, I wish I knew more about it not being an authentic Mexican restaurant but since my friend had picked it and saw it on TikTok, I wanted to give it a try. I was excited because they had outdoor seating and I was able to bring my dogs. After looking at the ridiculous prices on the menu, I had a great feeling the food was going to be terrible. $6 for a single taco? a single taco that tasted like a grease ball? (I got the "birria" taco). Yeah hard pass. My friend got the 3 taco platter with the smallest servings. I rather go to an actual Mexican restaurant to get a bang for my bucks. I would never go back. The service wasn't great. The ambiance is nice but thats what you are actually paying for. Such a let down.

Food was amazing! Mushroom/queso empanadas and the crab/shrimp empanadas were awesome, I got the Al pastor, carne asada and grilled Mahi tacos and my gf got the Al pastor quesadilla.
We were seated after a short wait, then were forgot about apparently management fell through with seating coverage. A table was seated several minutes after we were, their order was taken before ours and the waiter for that table asked if we had been waited on. He then let whoever was in charge know we haven’t been served and then they finally let our waitress know she had a new table.
Renee was extremely apologetic and redeemed our thoughts for the place. If it hadn’t been for Renee this would be a 1-STAR service review!!! Thank you Renee and your service was great.

It was pretty good but a few of us ordered birria and the kitchen hadn't told the servers that they were out of consomme - so they brought it out anyway even though it was missing a MAJOR element rather than offering us the choice to pick something else- it was still pretty good, but def on the greasy side. The salsa was fresh/tasty.
