Permanent Mission of Belize

There are the worst the person that answers the phone is rude and only answer when it's convenient for her she acts like this is a home phone there so irresponsible and the worst place ever

It's going on 4 months and haven't got back my passport,this place sucks!!!!!!!!!

This place is terrible. When I say that this Belizean embassy is not here to help Belizeans I mean it. The man at the counter knew everything that we brought with us and reviewed it with us. He handed us our application and sent us away to 2nd street to get our forms and passport pictures notarized. Well we don't know where everything is and knew we needed a money order so we went to wellsfargo since we bank with them. We got our trusty forms done to the specificity that he asked for and went back into the building. He was almost upset with us for not traveling the few blocks to 2nd street and told us they did it wrong and sent us back to wellsfargo. So we are now on our second trip away to get exactly what we need. Done! Got the form signed, he still wasn't happy with that and tried to send my husband away to the notary public a third time. My husband got annoyed and started pushing back. Mind you the notary public told us he has done this many, many times and had never heard what he was complaining about.
Ok where was I, sent away twice, back on the 19th floor and now he tells us we need a $25 money order so they can send it back to us. So I run, literally run across the street to cvs where they only take cash for money orders, so again I'm running across the street to wellsfargo to get cash so I can get the money order from cvs.
Back upstairs and now he tells us that without the original birth certificate this is an incomplete form and they cannot send it off for us. WHAT!!! After having us run up and down and wasting almost 3 hrs and coming to New York from Dallas you are sending us away without submitting our passport!
My husband was furious and gave them a piece of his mind and let them know that they are not there to help Belizeans in any way, and they are actually preventing people from getting things done.
I'm not sure if they realize or even care that people spend their hard earned savings traveling from other states to get here and taking off of work and that we aren't just stopping in and we can't just be sent away.
We should have known this place was a joke because my sister in law had to make a second trip to New York because these ignorant jack butts took her picture incorrectly. Yes you heard me they made the error and she paid for it.
So all I have to say is avoid this place at all cost if you can or if you are not somewhat local . Now we will be saving up and traveling either to D.C. Or Los Angeles. We will NOT be coming back to the Belizean embassy in New York.
