I was really looking forward to eating at Orsay. The menu looks amazing. We started off with oysters, which were fine. The gulf oysters are much larger and meatier. The east coast were small and the west coast were tiny. The bread was not the crusty French loaf I was expecting, but very plain and soft, served with three pats of butter. I had the pan roasted duck, which is three medallions served with a bland sauce. The other plate was the fish, grouper with grits (which were good). At a restaurant like this, I would expect at least one thing on the plate to be unique or delicious. The pistashio dessert was OK, on the dry side. At this price point I would expect table cloths and a nice setting, not bare tables without even a place mat. The server was outstanding. He explained the menu, made suggestions, and was there at just the right times. There is a choice of dining rooms. One is considered the lounge and has a bar. The other is open to the kitchen on one side and has a bar on the other.

Spent our 5 year anniversary having dinner at the restaurant. The french onion soup is fantastic and creme brûlée as well. The deconstructed lobster pot pie was a solid 7/10. Tasty but pretty dry. I do wish I had ordered something different instead this time around. The duck pate was good, it wasn't as flavorful but good portion for us to share. Hoping to choose a more favorable entree the next time we visit. Lovely staff and ambience every time we dine though!

We came here for my birthday and I have to say that we were impressed with the food and the service. Toni was the best server we ever had, and I’m glad he took care of us. He knew everything in the menu and was always kind.
The food was excellent, my husband asked Toni to surprise him with the main course, and he got him Pork Chops that were so good.
The dessert was delicious!!!
We will definitely come back soon. Can’t wait to try more dishes.

We went for a date night and were overall impressed. Our appetizer was a calamari served chilled. I was pleasantly surprised. Great taste, and it was not chewy. My main course was phenomenal. I got the beef stroganoff. I'd definitely get it again. The bread was average.. nothing special but honestly everything else was great, including the service.

I’ve had two dinner meals here and neither have disappointed.
My first meal was the pork chop, on the recommendation of the waiter and it was delicious.
My most recent meal was the Pan Fried Fish (flounder was the fish of the day) and that also was delicious.
Of course, I can never pass up the crème brûlée, which is fantastic as well.
You will definitely spend some cash here, but they have a great happy hour, service and I believe you get what you pay for.
I docked one star for atmosphere because of you sit in the lounge and have to sit in the booth, there a quite the “sink” factor and you may feel like a child sitting at the adult table, lol.

We enjoyed another fabulous meal at Restaurant Orsay. It has been one of our top 3 favorites since moving to the area almost seven years ago. We've celebrated several anniversaries and birthdays there.
We're preparing to move out of the area and wanted to enjoy another meal there before we do. We were again delighted. Canaan provided outstanding service. He is always professional, knowledgeable, and cordial. His recommendations and descriptions of dishes are spot on.
We started with "Just Trust Me" cocktails, and each one met our individual tastes. The Washington oysters were fresh and perfect. My husband had the pork chop, and I tried the foie Gras as my entree. Both were excellent, and despite the size of the pork chop, my husband finished every bite.
We took dessert home for later. A new seasonal option was the dacquoise with pistachio cream, which was highly recommended by Canaan...again, he was correct. His description was absolutely accurate, and we enjoyed every bite.
We will certainly miss Orsay, and we'll cherish the memory of what may be our last meal there.

Took my wife here for Valentine's Day dinner and it did not disappoint! Extensive wine and liquor lists. The oysters were some of the best I've had anywhere. Menu selections were so diverse and both entrees were delicious. The pastry chef topped off the night with a pumpkin bread pudding and I was a hero for picking out the restaurant. Loved it!
