Komachi Japanese Restaurant

The atmosphere is simple and the food is well prepared and delicous. I would like to thank the owners of Komachi for offering exceptional value for my money. When my sister and I visited for a bento box lunch at noon, I was very hungry and thought I would probably need something more after eating there. I was happily wrong! The bento box was generous and included miso soup and a small salad. I chose the teriyaki salmon box, and my sister the teriyaki chicken (which was grilled beautifully). Both were delcious along with the other offerings. We were satisfyingly full after eating at Komachi. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for delcious food and honest value for your money, and I hope many people support this restaurant. We are hoping too that Japanese tea will be added to the menu! Thank you, Komachi!

Great sushi, fresh fish! Love it!

I didn't rate the atmosphere and service because this is predominantly a take out restaurant. The fish is consistently fresh and the food is delicious! Best in Aurora!

Good reliable sushi, basics done well. They have a small bright dining room, more of a takeout option for me.

Warm service. You order your food from counter, they take it to you. Service was good. We had spider roll & garden salad. Salad was tiny, with North American sauce. The roll is ok, but not great. From the look of dinner boxes from other guests, look good & yummy.

We stopped by here after the gym and the dinner special was delicious and it filled us up! I’m glad we stumbled upon this place! :)

I live in Aurora and have been going to this place for years. It has typically been excellent. Unfortunately the portion size and quality have gone down lately. They had a little price increase recently which was certainly justified and frankly well deserved, but they need to keep the quality and quantity consistent. Will give this another chance, but if it isn't back to the way it was I'll be looking for a new sushi 'go-to'.

Check out the pieces of salmon in this roll. Just because it's not a presentation piece atop rice doesn't mean that you can stuff the garbage in a roll and hope nobody notices. This was basically like the salmon equivalent of gnawing the cartilage off a poor cut of beef.

I had some salmon nigiri as well and the salmon portion was much smaller than I've had in the past. Unfortunately I failed to take a photo of that but I do have a photo of what it was like back when the quantity was good (you can see the pieces were so large they curl under at the ends).
