Definitely go check this fabulous art! Reminds me of what Orhan Pamuk wrote in his novel about Turkish miniatures, but these ones are with her own innovations!

Came across this lovely little shop by chance on a side street, but it's well worth the small detour. Beautiful artwork which you can watch the owner producing in front of you, and gorgeous hand-made ceramics which we loved. Our small purchase was really well-wrapped for the plane journey home and we are delighted with it. Highly recommended!

The artworks of Figen Kajan are outstanding examples of Tezhip art. She not only demonstrates a deep understanding of the historical background of her paintings but also masters the techniques at the highest level. What an amazing image. We love to gold combined with the different colors, in our case dark green. The quality is great and you can see the self made paper. The highlight me is the frame, perfectly fitting the antique style of the picture. Thank you so much, we are already thinking of our next purchase !

Nearly everything in this lovely gallery is made by the Artist and owner Figen, and is of otherworldly quality. Her fine precision and ethereal selection of colors make each piece an heirloom. If your looking for fine Sufi ottoman art 🖼️ look no further.

If you are near the Galata Tower and are stumbling through the surrounding streets, looking for nice little shops, then this is definitely a must to pass by. What an incredibly sweet woman with great talent and visible love for her work. Her art is truly beautiful, precise and detailed and the ceramic pendants are also impossible to choose between. If I could, I would have bought everything in the store. This shop and the lovely lady deserve much more attention and appreciation and it is a must to stop by if you are in the area!
