This place isn’t horrible, but it wasn’t great. The museum is basically a series of signs describing prison history. Kids were entertained for about half an hour. I don’t regret going, but wouldn’t highly recommend it.

Don’t miss if you visit London and the South Bank.
Very nice historical place touch of the history.
Located on the south bank not to far from Southwark cathedral clink prison is a fun place to spend 45 minutes to hour to explore how the prison which is located on this site first of all I have to say a big thank you the staff & very friendly volunteers whom work in the up keep running of the museum which is a good place for all ages but can be quite spooky while walking around the museum so of the stuff you can touch or inter act with me making it a fun experience I paid on the door costing £8 children maybe £6 but please check out the website I would recommend going to this place it's probably good to buy the tickets online but I think you can simply pay on the door

I live in Sweden and liked every minute of being in the Clink Prison.
The entry price was very reasonable and worth it.
The historical facts filled me with a world of extra knowledge.
And the staff were so helpful.
Plus you get a free photo behind bars which made my day.
I will definitely return with all my work colleagues on my next business trip to London.

I took my 3 children 8,12 and 17, it was fantastic for them to learn about history in an eye catching way but i did think the 2 younger ones was too young to fully appreciate it.
I would definitely recommend this place for 12 years or older unless your younger child is particularly interested.
Great price, And even better there’s a great free photo opportunity at the end.

This museum would definitely be okay to visit but doesn’t take long to view it all -
Took about an hour to walk through

Info on conditions in prison, prison life and the corruption that occurred. pictures of who's who got tortured, Catholics who got exiled, traitors etc.

few relics from the past, some replicas but you can handle items and feel the weight of the swords!

The museum prices are really worth it. Not to expensive either. £8 per person (Adult) and you get to ring the bell chime to call the so called ‘jailer’ who comes to let you in when you buy tickets. Then the Jail door opens and you can experience the Jail/Museum and how it became the jail from the 1144-1780. All statues and items from the times are there and you can explore it all and touch them and all sorts. Real fun and you get a free picture at the end (unlimited)
