Beautiful hike!
It was so refreshing to be out in nature after visiting bustling streets of Singapore!

Highly recommended for a short time-out :-)

So glad I came here on my trip to Singapore! Hiked around the MacRitchie Reservoir following the yellow trail, but detoured to make sure I could do the TreeTop Walk. I was the only one there, apart from the security guard and a load of monkeys! Peaceful, great views - highly recommend as long as you’re not scared of heights! The walk following the bridge back to the main trails was long and steep (downhill) but equally as peaceful.

Yes you’ll see monkeys (don’t give them food), and lizards.
It’s nice that the access is for free, on a weekday around 11am, it was very empty.
Don’t expect a tiny path in the middle of the forest, the trail is made to be the one green escape of the 6 million Singaporeans, so it’s very maintained and quite large paths.
The access is through the public toilet point on google maps, and you can then link it up with the reservoir trail.

Nice place to walk. From the Venus carpark to the treetop bridge is about 3km. Start off easy on the boardwalk but later part gets a bit more challenging with higher climb steps then from the bridge til about 2km, back on the boardwalk again. Then rocky trail and back to the Junction to venus again. About 7km from the carpark to the treetop and back.

Only wish that folks will walk single file especially when it's crowded. And not talk so loud.

Monkeys, turtles, fish, snake, monitors are some of the wildlife you will see during the hike. You can spend a while day hiking, it's very safe and very well kept. There are some spots with great view.

From the bus stop on Upper Thomson Road, Google Maps directed me to walk up Island Club Road. This is incorrect, and only leads you to the entrance of a private country club. The walking trail actually starts from the public toilets on Venus Drive. (There is also a water fountain here). There are a few ranger stations along the route which also have toilets and water fountains.
Allow at least 2 to 3 hours if you want to do the whole circular route, including the treetop walk and viewing tower. Note the bridge closes in the late afternoon.

Visiting the Treetop Walk on a weekend is an experience that seamlessly blends the thrill of adventure with the serenity of nature. Nestled amidst lush forests, the elevated walkway invites visitors to a unique vantage point, offering panoramic views that stretch over the canopy, providing a bird's-eye perspective of the vibrant ecosystem below. The engineering marvel of the walkway itself, with its sturdy construction and thoughtful design, ensures safety while enhancing the immersive experience of being amongst the treetops.

The tranquility of the environment, punctuated by the sounds of wildlife, creates a soothing backdrop for a leisurely stroll or an introspective journey. The walk is accessible to people of all ages, making it a perfect family outing where even the youngest adventurers can marvel at the wonders of nature from an elevated position. The informative plaques placed along the path add an educational element, enriching the experience with insights into the local flora and fauna.

However, the popularity of the Treetop Walk means weekends can be bustling, with larger crowds and possible wait times. Early arrival is advisable to fully enjoy the serenity before the busiest periods. Despite this, the sense of community among fellow nature enthusiasts adds to the charm of the experience, making the Treetop Walk a must-visit destination for those seeking an escape into nature's embrace.
