One of the best places to visit in Lyon with no tickets. There are cafe and bars to drink and have snack

What a great day out the zoo is amazing and also completely free of charge. All of the animals are very well cared for and have huge amounts of space. The parc de la tête d’or where the Zoo is located in is absolutely beautiful on a summers day. Bravo Lyon

Very interesting for humans but sad for animals like the giraffes and zebras. I saw 3 magnificent giraffes pacing anxiously in their tiny enclosure, twirling their necks around and breathing warm air onto the glass walls, and looking morosely at me (not sure if they’re locked up in the glass enclosure because the zoo is closed today). I feel so sorry we humans have done this to them. Not sure this is good education for the little ones. Wish more space were appropriated from the abundant enjoyable open space for humans in this beautiful park to serve as basic moving room for these big animals which are used to roaming free on the expansive plains of Africa. Free 4 humans but not free at all for wildlife

It’s a really nice park I was there by the local recommendation and didn’t disappoint me the park is huge they also have roses garden which is really beautiful. And they have zoo which you can see a lot of animal included giraffes, zebras , flamingos and a lot more. They have bicycles for rent in case you don’t want to walk. You can just take a bus there and all is free entrance! If you have time I recommend this place!!!

The panther enclosure looks too small to house such an animal and it kept pacing the same few metres :/ Otherwise the other animals appeared quite relaxed

Although small.. its has a variety of animals that are fun to see. Walking around is easy and nice.
