This park is pretty small and is located on the corner of 500 east and 1700 south. This is one of those corner parks. You meet up with your friends when you go jogging or for coffee in the park without it being real busy or a small picnic, perhaps after a small walk.

If you live in the area or want a destination for when you go on a walk I would recommend first encampment park. It's not big, nearby parking is tough, but you know, it's pretty, and it's a lot better than just some building on the corner to me.

This is a nice Utah pioneer memorial park. It's very small and not much to do other than read the plaques dedicated to the memory of those first pioneers who camped there upon entering the valley.

From a park/recreation perspective, not worth a stop. From a historical perspective, it's great.

Love the flow of this park. The creek bed is replicated with stones and the pioneers names who camped here are carved into boulders. Four original pioneer homes are located just a block north of the park and make a great little loop for a walk

This is not really a park when I think of a park. It's more of a monument. I don't recall any seating (on further investigation, there is a little seating area), and there is no grass even though the monument speaks about the location having 6 to 10' tall grass when the Mormons arrived. It's nice to have historical information throughout the area.

It's nice that history is recognized and made accessible to the public. The park itself is a welcome representation of nature in the middle of a neighborhood. My kids had fun climbing on the rocks for about 20 minutes, but then there wasn't much else to do.

Cool history and good park to relax in. My son loved climbing on the rocks. Very clean and drug free compared to most parks in the city, though I did pick up and throw away a needle cap and a homemade pen tube meth pipe.

Very nice landscaping for such a small park. Historic location as well
