La Prohibida Resto Bar

We happened to stop in and found a comedy show happening! Such a great community space and excellent staff who spoke English. Fantastic location and lovely atmosphere!

I certainly cannot recommend coming here. The only thing that was worth the money I was basically forced to spent here was the drag show I could barely see due to the location and its limited space. If you enjoy “queer” (it’s mostly gay white men and bachelorette parties) spaces that overcharge you on average drinks and bad food, this bar is the perfect spot for you. The pizza we had to order (due to municipality laws which I do understand) was wet and looked more like a frozen pizza. They charged us 13.000 Chilean pesos. If you’re forced by the municipality to charge for food, either make it cheaper or enhance the quality of your products. The drinks were fine (nothing special; I didn’t try the cocktails though) but also extremely expensive. If I had paid an entrance fee and had known that most of the money goes to the performers directly, I would have probably felt better about my experience. This, however, just felt like another “queer” space that focuses more on making money than providing a safe space in an area that clearly needs it.

Bit of fun

It's a bar mostly. If you're not going for the buzz, then stay away from it. Pizzas didn't look very good and the entrees weren't particularly impressive. The trans show started almost 2 hours late.

We loved this bar/restaurant! on a beautiful tree lined street in Bellavista. Delicious wine and pizzas and the most friendly, warm staff we have found in Santiago!! A gem in the area! Muchas gracias!
