Perfect stop to let the kids swim and play in the sand. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained!

A great place to stop. Bathrooms are clean. Beach area is beautiful. Dog run is convenient. Historical information is beneficial.

clean rest area and nice beach with geographical significance... has a beautiful view of 300+ miles of open water

Beautiful white sand beach, warm and clear water on a sunny day. We took a walk to the Rocky side of the beach, it was nice and quiet. A great stop for you long drive to UP!

Perfect spot! It was so pretty! One of the best spots we stopped at so far during our trip! Bathrooms were clean, loved all the wood structures on the building.

Let’s get one thing clear: This is just a pit stop. A rest area on US-2. So don’t expect there to be a whole lot to do here.
That being said, it’s an awesome pit stop. There’s a beach with sand and tree-lined views up and down the coast. It’s much more scenic than almost any other pit stop, where your eyes get a treat while you stretch your legs.
If you don’t want to (or can’t) get sandy, there are a couple wooden walkways that are also handicap accessible. This way you can enjoy the shoreline views without having to get in the sand.
There’s also historical information posted around the area. Turns out this place was once the border of the United States! There are also restrooms here.

It's a nice spot for a break. Bathrooms are good and the view is amazing. Unlike many rest stops you can enter and exit at both ends. The walk to the water is short with enough room to spread out.
