Manuel at San Jose airport is wonderful help. He went above and beyond to change my reservation and accommodate one way car rental instead of dropping same location because of Airline issues.

Danniel was fantastic at the airport and everybody was so welcome. Nice is it going explain themselves very well it was the best service that I had excellent customer service.

AVOID AT ALL COST!
What a disgrace having rented a car from this company. The cost of the car rental ballooned from $200 to $700 once I got to their counter. Even though I got insurance through Expedia, they said was mandatory for me to get one anyway and that ended up costing more than the actual car rental.
After they laughed at my lack of options and forced me to pay 3 times what I expected to pay, they gave me an early 2000s blue Hyundai full of dents and scratches, the radio wasn't even properly attached to the dashboard so it would move around while driving, and the overall feel of the car made you worry you'd be left stranded in rural Costa Rica.
They would also not add any of the issues to the paper you sign accepting the condition of the car unless you specifically brought it up to them. Glad I took a thousand pictures and videos just in case.
Returning the car was fast and the insane $500 deposit (even though you paid all that insurance money) was refunded within a few days.

David at Solid Rental Car was absolutely phenomenal. It was my boyfriend and I’s first time traveling to Costa Rica, and we’re not fluent in Spanish. David went above and beyond to not only fully explain the roads and our rental car, but spent an additional 15+ minutes telling us the ins and outs of local culture and the different accommodations which we were staying at. He gave us multiple maps as well as excursion and beach recommendations. David was such a great help to us. Exceptional customer service.
