The area is not that populated, therefore don’t leave anything in the car. Take everything valuable with you. Otherwise the hike is great. You can pretty much cover the entire trail under the shade.
If I lived closer to that area, I would post up sometimes and get these idiots on camera, they deserve to serve their time and pay for their crime. I guess...don't go there unless you have a car camera connected to your phone to keep an eye on your car, and catch idiots in action.
Car was broken into and camera stolen out of it, on my birthday :(

Go only if you want a free broken window and to spend an hour doing a police report.
Don’t park here. Came back to find my window smashed in (5/11/23). Nothing was stolen because I didn’t leave anything in the car, but they still broke my minivan window and looked in the glove compartment and center consul.
Great trail and fun hiking area. But like the other post here this is a hot spot for theft. Came back to a smashed window and stolen wallet
