Just a special barn!

A tithe barn that was attached to the Hartbury church, however it is now privately owned and seems to be in amazing condition considering it’s derelict condition. However, on inspection it seems that certain works have been undertaken to keep in order. It is one of the largest in England built by the Abbey of Gloucester in the 14th century. There are interesting finials on the roof. The Welsh dragon on one end looking into England and the English lion that looks towards Wales. Part of the Hartbury settlement and does state online that it is not open to the public, but the gates were wide open today. An impressive structure.

Very clean and impressive structure, can’t belief it’s in such good nick
