Lovely, little museum of beautiful, handcrafted fans. Unfortunately the tea room is shut and has been shut since covid. Bring your own picnic

Was here for a wedding, and it's so beautiful. Sadly didn't get a chance to look at the actual exhibits, but the building is stunning and the staff are so kind and friendly. I was pleasantly surprised by how well they managed to adapt the old building for my access as a wheelchair user too.

Thank you so much to Sophie and all the team at the Fan Museum for making our wedding ceremony a day to remember! It is truly a unique venue, supported by a well-organized team led by the wonderful and attentive Sophie. If you are looking for a unique space for an intimate wedding ceremony in South East London, look no further!

Love this place! Came for the first time a few years ago and loved it so much we decided to get married here for our small intimate ceremony in May 2024. Venue was super helpful, responsive and accommodating. Would really recommend if you're looking for a venue for a small number of guests. The gift shop is also super cute - we got magnets and tea towels. Thank you again! ❣️☀️🪭

Delightful, interesting unique museum. Welcoming knowledgeable staff. Audio guide is a bonus. The Paris exhibition is fascinating and well curated. Lovely gift shop as well.

We had our civil wedding ceremony at the Fan Museum on 16th September 2023 and it was exactly what we’d hoped for. Our main (and larger) wedding was due to be held in Lisbon the following week, meaning we needed somewhere in London to hold a short, intimate civil ceremony to make our marriage legal.
Our local Registry Office was due to be renovated on our intended wedding date and most other venues only offered package deals (inclusive of meal and drinks packages which we didn’t need).
The Fan Museum however was perfect for us. We were able to hire the room on an hourly basis, in a beautiful setting and still fit in 30 of our closest friends and family.
The staff were absolutely lovely, particularly Sophie who made sure everything was in order on the day.
We had the perfect day in a relaxed and beautiful setting and are grateful we found this little gem when we did. We honestly could not have asked for more.
Thank you to everyone at the Fan Museum and sorry it’s taken so long to write this review!

It was a really beautiful and informative place - it costs a few pounds for a ticket, but it’s worth it and you get a free audio guide tour with it.

There weren’t many people there at the time, but I still had some nice conversations about the fans with two friendly ladies
