A small park located at the western edge of central London. Nearest station is Holland Park.
This is more closer to a landscaped garden than a normal park that we see all over London because this park contains a lot of man made structures in addition to natural environment. Park has plenty of seating scattered everywhere. There are even tables. There is a bar, cafe and a wedding hall named Orangery.
This park houses the famous Kyoto garden and Fukushima garden. They are landscaped well but very small.

In the middle of the city, but you can barely hear any traffic noise! There's a lovely area for picnics and beautiful gardens (we even saw a proposal!) with peacocks and squirrels (which are very friendly). They've got some benches there too if you get a little tired, and maps to help you if you get lost.
I went there expecially for the Japanese garden and I wasn't disappointed. Its worth to pay a visit. They have a adventure playground that looks very good fun and it would be great to bring children in there.
Visit on a work day to avoid the crowd, according to the suggestion from some of the posts which proved to be useful. It was quiet, peaceful and full of elegant details. Both the Dutch garden and the Japanese garden are beautiful. I can imagine how busy this place can be on a weekend.

Visited the park on a sunny Sunday , the park is easily accessible from the tube station. Park has lots of things to offer for everyone to enjoy from kids to adults. Kyoto garden was the main reason for me to visit this place. The Kyoto garden was the most busy one ..with lot of people trying to get pictures. It's a very pretty garden with peacocks . The park itself was very crowded so plan your visit , I would avoid the weekends.
