You can park at Craigville Beach and walk up to the area. It is a popular for bird watching and has the best swimming and sunbathing available. Try to go early in the summer and bring water. They are no restrooms or other amenities. It is a conservation area.
Great stretch of beach to walk and explore the conch shell tree or "wishing tree" and the annual memorial Christmas tree in season

And a cape cod trivial oddity:
The dog officer, local swat team, watches you with binoculars from across the channel at Dowses beach, as some folks let their dogs off leash to run at the end. Then he races to meet them in parking lot for a ticket. I felt sorry for the guy getting a ticket, like a major crime took place.

Beautiful walk even in the rain.
Much nicer than Craigville. Softer sand, less crowds. Just gotta get there early for the few parking spots for residents only.
