Shady and peaceful park with baby swings

Nice little park with a swingset for swinging and a playground for playing. Nice open field for dogs and a tennis court. There's a pavilion in the middle with tables for events.

It's a great place to let the kids burn some extra energy.

Very nice big park with something for everyone. It has 2 small play areas, tennis courts, baseball field, field out open, and walking trails. Has a picnic area and some seats to watch the game.

This park is old and the playground equipment needs a facelift. The plastic is all quite weathered and the swings are very squeaky and rusted.
With that said, it is very quiet and very shaded on a sunny day. It’s location is tucked away down a side street so most people don’t even know it’s there. The tennis courts are usually open and there is a small baseball field here that almost makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time to one of those 90’s movies where a ragtag group of misfit pre-teens overcomes all odds to win the World Series.

Bruin Park is a great park in the middle of Herndon.
It has been relatively newly remodeled with new kids playground equipment and is still beautifully located in the middle of the forest.
It's well secluded from traffic and there's plenty of amenities for families that visit: Tennis courts, bbq grills, picnic tables etc. Even plenty of parking.
It's also nice that the playgrounds are divided into younger and older kids.
Overall it's very nice.

Bruin is a nice, small, shady park. There are tennis courts, a baseball field, playground, a rentable shelter, and a portable toilet. The park has a ton of trees which keeps it shaded (which means it can be wet and lots of insects). We are mostly there for baseball games. The ground around the field stays wet a lot of the time, so be prepared to slosh through the mud. When there is a game or party, parking can get a little crazy because the lot is small.
