This was such a wonderful and pleasant surprise! I came to see Balaji Mandir and afterwards I thought to have breakfast here. There was no one inside yet, and I didn't mind. I was pleased that the people attending had very good English so there was not a language barrier. I requested idli, medu wada, and dal wada at first. It was wonderful! I was so happy... I requested also pongal, and it was just delightful.

The service was amazing. The staff was very polite and very kind. I am so happy I found this place. Highly recommended!

I always come here to get a Kerala food experience and also recommend to friends and relatives.

I remember in college time, Aunty had this restaurant in a small tent beside Balaji Temple. From that time to the present, the taste of the food remains the same; only the people have changed.

This is a small under the tree hotel located on a side lane on Sus Pashan Road near Ahobila Mutt Balaji Mandir. Though it is a small outlet with not a great interior, the food is very tasty and authentic South Indian. They have a few tables for service.

The idli, dosa which is crispy yet soft, the perfect Tamil Nadu Ven Pongal, crispy soft Medhu Vada served with Sambar, coconut chutney and Red Chutney are definitely worth a try. The sambar is like no other you can find in Pune. The cut dosa was filled with potatoe masala and the chef's touch was mouth watering and too filling. Filter coffee was seved in brass davara and has the perfect blend of milk and decotion.

The quantity is good, the rates are pocket friendly. Though by the looks the hotel might deceive but taste will not.

Parking has to be street side parking.

One of the best South Indian food eaten in pune. Very modest average looking small eatery little inside the road (We missed it on the way and had to come back to locate it!). Amazing home made simple no frill preparation with Aroma and freshness of material in every dish. Hot piping Rasam .. sambhar consistency perfect with natural Tamil flavour... perfectly mashed pongal .. crispy dal wada made from freshly grinded dal with no fermentation .. steaming soft idli .. crunchy tasty podi dosa with gelly potato masala bhaji .. fresh foaming filter coffee served in brass vati n glass to end the treat .. MUST MUST place to visit .. specially if you are in and around pashan ..

Decent tasting South indian food, moderately priced and served fast. It's a small place with a few tables, outdoor seating by a main road (can be tough on a hot dusty day). Tried the paper masala dosa, medu vada and coffee. The food was alright, nothing extraordinary, and I found the coffee too sweet. But overall this place is alright if you need a quick bite and don't feel like cooking. The few seats and small tables probably don't make it ideal for families to visit.

Real Nice place, not exceptional looking but very good taste. The Rasam was authentic, the various chutneys were also authentic.

The Kothu Paratha I took was more than sufficient, quantity is very much more than normal restaurant, so it is good place.

I will visit again, I would like to try other items on Menu, not many but worth trying other South Indian items.

This is very close to Balaji Temple in Pashan Sus Road.
