Fun!
This playground, at the Ravenhill Road end of Ormeau Park, is particularly good for younger children. We bring our granddaughter (almost 3) here quite often and have been bringing her since she was under one year old. There is a small climbing frame which is good for little ones, a seesaw, roundabout, swings and more. It is often fairly quiet here.
A really excellent playground. Everything in working order and clean, even places for children in wheelchairs. A thoughtful touch, everyone included. There is even a little van with tea for adults and ice creams for kids. Our kids loved it and spent about 3 hours there.
This playground is the one on the corner of ravenhill rd and Ormeau. It's a bit smaller than the main playground but does have toddler swings and a smaller jungle gym for toddlers with a slide. My kid loves it.
FUN clean playground, missing a roundabout therefor I only gave it four stars. Obstacles and slides suitable for kids up to about 7/8 years old.
Terribly maintained, outdated play equipment, crumbling surfaces in the playground area, and no fencing around it. Your kid will probably still enjoy it, but this should be so much better than it is.
The Ormeau park is amazing, it has a great bit of the beaten track so if you have a dog who is abit crazy round other dogs then it is away from most of them. A lot to see in the park and lot to explore. I have been going since I was a child and it is definitely a pleasure living so close to it.
