What a lovely owner who knows his stock well, and can point you in useful directions without being pushy. And a varied selection of books at good prices, my partner found loads and we left very happy! We'll be back.

Such a hidden gem. I stumbled upon it last week and I could spend hours just browsing through the books, if I could. They have such a huge collection of very cheap and affordable books, of all different genres and even some in different languages. The man, who was managing the store at the time of my visit, was very helpful and kind, I probably asked him way too many times to look for a certain book or genre, and in their vast collection, he always knew where to look with no problems. Will be visiting every time I have a trip to town:)

I see the answer from the seller. What happened was that i bought the book and asked the seller to add a electronic tarriff number. After buying the book i had a long correspondence with the seller about this and also told him that it was ok if he couldnt find it and that i still wanted to buy the book. I was ready to pay for insured shipping for the book if needed. The decision from the seller to cancel the order was only made after days and long after i had bought the book. He initially didnt have any issues sending it internationally. The decision to not send it because there was a risk according to him was only made after several days and not immediately which made me think that he had probably sold it to someone else instead although i cant be sure that this happened. If he would have told me directly that he didnt want to ship it or even after several days that he had sold it to someone else theres no way i would have given a negative review. The reason i did it was that he stopped answering altogether.
I wont answer any more messages about this since i dont want to put any more time on this matter.

Great little shop in the Macclesfield market . The owner is a really nice guy and so helpful . There is plenty of stock and some real hidden gems . I asked for some Don Winslow books, and he produced 2 out of fresh air . I'd love to buy more if you ever get any hardback or paperback thank you .

We’ve been visiting the Book Exchange for years now. Alan has always been very helpful and friendly. Spread across 3 units within the market, there are so many books to peruse and are all at great prices. We’ll usually find a handful of books to purchase at every visit. Today we added to our ever growing collection of penguin classics and couldn’t be happier. We look forward to visiting again.
