This is a very good museum. You might think Farnham is a quiet commuter town. You would be wrong! Farnham has a long and interesting history. Several famous people were born/lived in the town. And Farnham had several industries. It has real implements that were used in them. It also has, at intervals interesting exhibitions. And it has an attractive garden. Best of all it's free! I don't visit Farnham very often but when I do I make a beeline for this museum.

I wandered in on a free day which was probably good. Don't get me wrong, I love a good museum, even little ones, but was a little confused at what the point of this museum was, what story it was trying to tell, and why it should interest me.
There was a school group going through at the same time as me and I listened in a bit because that part was wonderful and engaging. However walking through myself I lacked context and often found myself wondering why some of the objects were there.

We did a reconnaissance today in advance of my son's school trip later this month. My son had a few concerns regarding certain exhibits, but the staff went above and beyond to address them. Their assistance was invaluable; they not only provided us with a useful guide but also took the time to inspect different rooms for anything he might find upsetting. The museum itself is charming, and the dedication of the staff volunteers was truly outstanding. We are sincerely grateful for their help. Thank you!

A lovely free museum for Farnham's history with lovely staff upon greeting, and very accessible from the town. It was the icing on the cake after a day exploring Waverley Abbey ruins, Farnham Castle Keep, and wandering the town. The museum nicely portrays aspects from all these sites and more on two floors in a picturesque Georgian townhouse so it was good to put them in more context and see further artefacts! There is also a very scenic garden to explore adding to the whole experience - It is 100% worth a visit for anyone exploring Farnham for the day!

Local museum for the town, full of detailed information and free to access. They also have a nice garden.

A hidden gem! If not because of the brown sign across the road, I wouldn’t have noticed there is such a beautiful and educational museum behind the scaffolding. The staff were all so wonderful, happy for a chat and can tell us so much about the historic building as well as the town. Amazingly there is a mammoth tusk on display in the museum. There are activity bags for children to play anywhere in a quiet place! My two kids had the best museum tea party ever. If we weren’t off somewhere, we would happily stay for longer. What a wonderful place to spend time! It’s also free to visit.

There was an event for children with Spring:hat making as nd animal petting. The building in the garden has a v.good potential to accommodate lots of events.
