Ate here for dinner with a tour group while visiting Innsbruck. The restaurant along with the hotel date back almost 600 years! The food which included traditional Tyrolean cuisine was amazing. The set up of the dining room was also something with old portraits and antler styled light fixtures. A great recommendation for anyone visiting the old town of Innsbruck.

The rice that came with the fish was a bit bland and oily for my taste, perhaps I should have ordered something else. The lemon sorbet was fine.
Service was good, at least during the non-peak hours.

The restaurant was full of people when we arrived, so we had to wait for 20 min to have the table. And surprisingly the food was inedible, regardless of the fact that they only had 5 main dishes. The taste is more local than for internationals, and for sure not for Asian

I had my doubts about this place right in the epicentre of Innsbruck's tourist zone, but we gave it a try because it looked like a strategically well-placed people watching spot. In that regard, sitting outside on the square it was ideal. It's a charming car-free zone and the table was very nice. We had the bread with pumpkin seed oil as a starter, which is right up my alley and it was delicious. The stuffed quail was well-prepared, along with some sliced fried potatoes. The broccoli was only threatened with heat and was basically raw, not very nice. The stuffing was mushy nonsense but it doesn't really matter. The two sauces were good, not really a kick in the shins with flavour but adequate. Service was very good when they were around, but the servers were sometimes hard to spot. They list all the people working there on the menu every day, nice touch. This is a winner in many ways.

Fantastic place.
The fish was fresh and tasty.
The deer was mesmerizing and bringing childhood memories about reindeer meatballs I tried in Lapland.
The stuff was friendly.
And the wine totally deserved a repeat.
