Our son’s soccer team came all the way to Ottawa the weekend 20th Jul 2024 for the tournament organized by them and it was a disappointment for our kids to play in and for us to watch. They put their U14 team to play in this U13 tournament which was not the right thing to do. Their referees clearly showed bias when our team played against their hometown teams. Weak penalty shot calls to give their teams chances to win and missed calls for our team were all what we had to watch throughout 2 games. For comparison, the 3rd game we played against the other out of town team was treated way differently and that should have been the refereeing standard for every games. It was bad for the kids out of town to see and experience such unfair treatments like this. I would not suggest any teams from out of town to attend their tournaments based on what we have experienced.

Our U13 boys team participated in this past weekends Warriors Summer Classic touarnment. This touarnment should not be Ontario Soccer sanctioned, and I wished our team had read through the reviews prior to participating. The refereeing was not only subpar, but clearly biased to local teams. The general manager, when confronted about placing an overaged U14 team in our group, defended his actions by stating the team "wasn't any good" and that "we were the only team they had beaten." Which not only revealed his cluelessness as a tournament organizer, but that he was a liar, because the team had beaten another team just that morning 5-1. Whoever coached that Ottawa U14 team should be removed from his duties for even agreeing to place his team in an underage U13 bracket. This could all easily have been remedied by placing the U14 group in the U15 bracket, but that would have meant the Ottawa team would have had a disappointing outcome. So instead, the general manager chose to take that teams registration money (and ours), and expose our kids to disappointment, and undue injury, by forcing them to play against older kids. We had four of our kids injured as a result of playing a U14 team, and I have coached in hockey and I can tell you this would never be allowed to happen in any OMHA sanctioned tournament, but only the EODSA has allowed this yahoo general manager to run things in this shoddy and unprofessional manner. I see comments of local parents sharing district issues with unprofessional, rude and unqualified coaching, and even issues with refs wanting to "fight" - avoid this club and it's "Warriors Classic" tournment.

Me and my team went to there tournament there refs coach’s and teams were very unsportsmanlike the ref made every call against us and gave a couple of my players yellow cards for no reason. Also the refs were clearly under par resulting in a Ottowa vs ottowa final not giving a chance for any of the teams driving 6+ hrs to get there it was very disappointing . Wish I could give a 0 rating

My sons team attended the soccer tournament and it was a complete disaster. The referees were blatantly biased, and it felt like we were just there to make sure the Ottawa teams could easily win the cup. Rules were ignored, and the timing was horrendous. One game started without a player even entering the field, and another began 20 minutes late.
Our team trained for 10 months, putting in all the effort, and parents sacrificed their time and money to be here. We drove 6 hours to witness this unsportive treatment. The referee was clearly not competent, missing numerous calls and displaying an unfair attitude throughout. It was evident that the officiating was below par, and it severely impacted the integrity of the tournament.
I would not recommend any club to play here again. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.

This is our 4th tournament this year with U13 boys and the most disappointing one to date. We travelled from far away to participate in 3 games of soccer but quickly discovered that the reffing was skewed towards the local teams with unfair judgement and bad calls resulting in player injuries. We were also paired up with a U14 local team which was outside of the age group putting our team at a disadvantage. We will not be returning in future years to participate in this tournament due to bad organization and biased reffing, it is really disappointing to see and demotivating for teams that work really hard and the only ask is to play a fair game.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. This is the dirtiest and most unsportsmanlike team we have ever played in competitive soccer. I am fully aware that there is some pushing and holding in the games; that is not what I am referring to. I am referring to the team mates coming to the opposing teams parents and ‘blowing kisses’ and laughing each time they scored. Or when one of their own teammates received a yellow card today, and they ‘high 5’ed’. At the end of the game, some members of this pathetic team refused to shake our coaches hand. We have played many teams across Ontario, and this is the worst. Shame on the coaches who condoned this behaviour. Your team was a complete embarrassment.

My son has been playing with the club for over a year in U9 and U10 programs. He started with recreational program and gradually moved to skill development program.
One of the things that impresses me most about the club is the coaching style to inspire and motivate the players. Coaches are remarkable in instilling confidence in each team member and pushing them to reach their full potential.
My son has grown so much as a player under their guidance, both in terms of skill development and learning team play. He has gained more control of the ball and learnt different playing strategies.
I really appreciate the time and effort coaches, club and team managers invest in planning the schedule and communicating with the parents.
Thanks to the West Ottawa soccer club for doing an excellent job.
