Lively alfresco dining experience with a great variety of food options. The ambience is vibrant and lovely, especially when we visited on Independence Day—it was a lovely sight to see so many people dressed in national colors, adding to the festive atmosphere.

However, the food itself was a bit of a letdown. While there were plenty of choices, most of the dishes we tried were rather mediocre. Another downside was the smoking, both indoors and outdoors, which made it difficult to fully enjoy the meal.

Overall, it’s a decent spot if you’re looking for variety and a lively environment, but be prepared for the food to be hit-or-miss and the smoke to be unavoidable.

A2 Food Court is probably popular because:
1. It is centrally located
2. Its alfresco-style brings nostalgic memories
3. Wide selection (honestly? It’s repetitive)

There is probably more misses in the food than hits. Here’s what we tried:

1. Otak Otak 😢
2. Satay 😢
3. Stirfried Nai Bai 👍(I-seafood)
4. Crab 🦀 Bihun 👍👍👍🎯 (I-seafood)
5. Fried carrot cake 👌

I will only come by here for the crab beehoon by I-seafood. It has wok-hei + the crab was sooooo fresh !

Visited Batam island at A2 food court around the town area with some friends.
There are many varieties of local food stores, ample seating available and crowded at night.

We quenched our thirst first with some fruit juice and then the ala carte meals.
Patrons are mostly locals enjoying their meals, some are happily drinking their favourite drinks served with graceful smiles.

We called the seafood, satays, fried noodles, chendol, fried rice etc etc ....... ohhhh varieties of food to choose and tasty indeed.
Food prices are reasonable.

Don't miss the local durian.

The surrounding open air atmosphere was windy and shopping arcades are within walking distance.
Don't miss the local reflexology or massage just around the corner.

Local taxis are readily available from the sea port to the town.

Decided to get kwetiau goreng rony. Very small portion, tasted off, not worth 28k. Nasi goreng indah from the hokkien mee stall was very bland. The only dish acceptable to our palate is fried oyster meyling. 3 stars is mostly for the lively atmosphere.

Looks like more Chinese food are available than Indo dishes. Fou d this Nasi Kuning at the very corner of this food court. When I visited there, there were no customers and was worried about the quality of their food but this Nasi Kuning Ayam Goreng was really a good choice. If you like Nasi Lemak, this is even better with this yellow fragrant rice. Sambar was pretty spicy but it makes you eat more rice. Ayam Goreng was very crispy and tender. Can't expect this quality at this price if in Singapore.

One of the best foodcourt in Batam! Their selection is similar to what y’all get in Singapore, but tastes better (and cheaper!)

Highly recommended: duck claypot from sapo 789, noodle from Han’s roast, carrot cake (see attached video), ayam goreng bawang, grilled stingray, and for desert, banana fritter from pisang goreng Kalimantan!

Great place to eat with the locals. Many food options and tasty food for very reasonable prices and serving the food to the table. The beer ladies do their best serving you good cold beer in iced buckets and keeping your glass full while walking around the tables their customers are sitting at.
Cleanliness is ok and efficiently done but could be better as items fall on the floor and only cleaned end of night. The atmosphere is good and lively.
