Yummy dumpling soup. Duck buns are mouthwatering. Small place with a few tables, gets full pretty quickly. I was skeptical about “pork and shrimp” filling of the dumplings but it was marvelous. Portions are huge. Minimum order 25$, if you want to pay by card.

Went at 7pm on Tuesday, no wait. You can order tea from Ho Ho Te at the restaurant. The dumplings were def homemade tasting. The broth was flavorful (spicy beef, pork, house special and chicken were ordered). The noodles were just right for ramen. Hand cut noodles were thicker we were told but we ordered ramen only so didn't try.

Amazing Chinese small eats. Read about this restaurant from the Michelin guide and it met my expectations. Highlights were the beef scallion pancakes and beef noodles. The peking duck buns were also delicious. The bokchoy was tasty but would probably skip out on it next time as it’s overpriced. I do think the restaurant is a bit overpriced overall for how casual it is. The service was also mediocre.

The hand pulled noodles alone definitely make this place worth a visit.
It’s a smaller spot where you share tables and the service is pretty prompt. I went after work so there was a small line outside, but they sat us in around 30 minutes. I definitely wouldn’t come during peak hours with a large group (the people ahead of me had a group of three and they were skipped over twice because of seating). I guess they waited maybe an extra 30 minutes or so.
I got the mushroom and chive buns and the stir fried shrimp noodles. I enjoyed both, but the noodles were the star of the show for me. The prices were ver affordable (especially for New York) so I’m sure I’ll come back.

Marinated sliced beef and pig ears are the unsung heroes here. They pack a good depth of flavor, and are equally well serving as a quick appetizer as you wait for the mains, or accompanying you through the meal as sides. The quality of the dim sum seems to surpass that of their noodles. The xiaolongbao featured delicious soup inside, while the Shanghai pan-fried pork buns (生煎包) are extremely juicy, so take small bites first, or risk an explosion of the juices across the table. While the noodle soup is satisfying enough for a cold day, the broth seems to be fairly two-dimensional in flavor, mostly just being salty. The hand-cut noodles are springy, and you may want to consider having them stir-fried. The roast pork (chashao/charsiew) should not be overlooked if you're choosing a protein to go with it, while the roast duck is also a close contender, albeit being less generous in portion.
If you have a larger group (say 4 or 5 people and above), be prepared to wait. For reference, my group of 5 waited for about 50 minutes on a Friday evening (you have to wait right outside, as they will call your name manually, instead of giving you a phone call or text). We would still be keen to return, especially if the music volume can be brought down, to allow for conversations.

Nice small place, and found it through the Guide Michelin. And happy that i did. Great selection of dimsum and steamed buns. Service is very quick and friendly and the prices are ok (a little bit on the high side, but what can you expect in the middle of Manhattan, and leveraging the fact that they are in the Michelin guide). Would definitely come back for more

Great atmosphere. Great little hole in the wall in NYC. This place definitely deserves to be in the michelin "places to try" list.
The soup dumplings were some of the best I ever had, the scalion pancake was phenomenal.
Everything was good!
