I cycle here regularly and it's always a delight. Even when it's axle deep in mud!
there is some lovely ancient woodland here really enjoy walking in it .
Beautiful there. Lots of climbing and clambering to be done though, but deffo worth it

Great rock climbing at Wharncliffe craggs. Thoroughly enjoyable
walking circular route from one end of Wharncliffe wood at Deepcar to Oughtbridge may take 3.5 hours or over. beaware bicycle treks that may not suitable for walking. do not forget to visit the waterfall near the top of wood at Oughtbridge
Ideal for a spot of lunch on top of Wharncliffe crags
