Terrible experience. Don’t eat from the food section the food is expired and gone off. Customer service is zero, and they even tried to overcharge me. Not a place I’d recommend.

I did like this shop, because it was close to my house however the frshness of the diary is terryfing,( last time they had NOT a single yougurt up to date.. all of them expired.. ) freshness of the meat is questioning , i bought baklava two or three times and it was never fresh( but looks lovely) and they increased their prices way too high. Lowered their quality but incraised their prices. Sadly, i would not recommend this shop

I love this shop because it is always open late and has a range of different products, including foreign products, the staff are very friendly. Brusk, I think his name is, is a top guy and always helps me with what I need. He recommends different cuts of meat which I never tried before. I like his service and he's always willing to help.

They have everything I ever need when shopping for Middle Eastern products and more. Butcher Brucek is the go to guy when asking about what cuts of meat to use for certain dishes. Always clean and always busy, which is a great thing!

When I first visited this shop, (mid January...)I left a good review.
The meat is still fresh,a lot of varieties of veggies, the shelves are nice and stocked... but a lot of products have expired. And when you point it out to the employees, they make coments between themselves. The woman at the till and one employee in specific. I don't speak their language, but I can imagine what was said

This is a wonderful neighbourhood supermarket, we are very lucky to have it on the Vale. It’s so well organised and clean and bright, and there’s no end of things to choose from.
Not a week goes by when I don’t pop in to get something or other, so I’m not even sure where to start with this review.
Well first, their fruit and veg is of very good quality. I often get turmeric tubers here but I like their tomatoes, too.
The other thing I get at Baghdad Food Centre is their olive oil soap. They have so many different types to choose from.
And I love their honey which is always of the highest quality. And their loose leaf tea with cardamom is great, too.
Some of their frozen bits and pieces look great, but I’ve not tried any of that stuff just yet.
What else? Oh, they’ve got a huge array of spices to choose from which is great.
Plus, they’ve got a bakery that does baklava and flatbreads. I love their baklava.
So, in short, this is a great addition to the neighbourhood.
And I would be very remiss if I didn’t mention the staff who are often charming.
I should probably point out that I *also* had a troubling experience with the rude woman that another reviewer has mentioned. I think it’s the same person based on the physical description and the behaviours cited.
She was unpleasant to me in the summer and this put me off for a while, so I can see where that other reviewer is coming from.
However, I decided a while ago that I wasn’t going to let her deter me from visiting what is otherwise a very nice shop (and it really is lovely). I do hope that they talk to her about her behaviour because she lets the rest of them down. (Everyone else is really nice!)
Anyway, enough about her. As I said, everyone else is really nice, especially the woman who works the evening shift. I don’t know what her name is, but I often see her. In fact, she served me today and she was so kind.
And there’s another guy there who I think might be a manager. He recognises me and he’s always very welcoming.
I also got talking to a guy in the bakery once and he was ever so friendly.
So, all in all, a lovely supermarket that we’re damn lucky to have so close at hand. I am not gonna let that one rude person detract from my perfect score. She’s not worth it.

Absolutely amazing selection of 'Middle-Eastern' food plus many British basics. Great food and veg stall outside and their own traditional bakery inside. It is very expensive but it is shops like these that are keeping our high streets alive! I try to use it as much as possible for that reason, especially as the big supermarkets will soon be just as expensive anyway!
